Just back from China and the photo tour ‘Sticks in the mud’. Yes, take that literally. Very impressive landscapes, even though the weather and pollution didn’t do us any favour at all. And where is Xiapu? Check it out here: http://g.co/maps/a9xp4
100th Birthday?
Well, hard to celebrate this one. But putting all the political discussion aside – they are still people; in particular the ordinary citizen. And enjoy a good song and dance. Looking behind the mask of the most closed country in the world.
Down under
Got some work in Sydney to do, and this time lucky with the weather compared to December 2010 when it was all rain and grey. Just a spectacular city. Iconic and photogenic.
La Defense – Architecture
Normally not my thing… but I’ve been recently intrigued by another blog with architecture photos of Paris. All shot in La Defense. Finally went, and started to explore the place myself. Definitely have to come back when the weather is better; and do a bit more discovery. Also realized; good architecture pictures aren’t that easy. Plenty still to learn. Here a first attempt.
Chicago by air… what a night
What a night – this was just spectacular. Floating in that small bubble of a helicopter above a city like Chicago. Majestic sunset, clear skies (freezing through my 2 jackets, and barely holding on to my 2 cameras strapped around me). Absolute cool – Chicago by air.
And one more. Closeup. Really close. Shot with a 50mm lens.
CLOSED: Singapore Marina Bay
It’s been a while and my favorite Lion city has changed a lot. The new ready Marina Bay provides a fantastic promenade or jogging path. Wouldn’t there be all the heat and humidity. But at 7 am in the morning it’s still bright and early and ok to go for a run.
High, higher, highest – Dubai
Wow. This is blowing me away. Been to the top of the top.
